She didn't find herself. She came home.
A note from Lauren
I spent years curating peace. The routines, the journals, the beautiful mornings. What I was hungry for was Him.
When I first woke up to this, I felt grief for how far I had actually strayed from Him in attempts to focus on healing myself. He has since redeemed my story and my entire life. I thought that I was lost, but I've been gently reminded that He never let me go.
If you've been tending to yourself and still feel far from home, this is for you. You don't have to find yourself. You can come home.
With love,
Lauren
You've been tending to yourself. Now come tend to your soul.
His Word Abiding is not another place to hold yourself together. It's a daily practice of dwelling in Scripture, one passage at a time, even with fifteen minutes.
Begin with His Word AbidingRead the words
Morning comes.
You light the candle. You make the tea. You open the journal.
You're showing up. You're doing the work.
And still there's an ache you can't journal away.
Meditate away.
You've called it healing. Growth. Becoming.
But what if that was never what you were hungry for?
You weren't searching for another version of yourself.
You were searching for home.
Not a place, a Person.
The One who knew your name before you tried to define it.
Who never left, even when you wandered
waiting for you to be still long enough to hear one word.
Remember.
You don't have to find yourself.
Come home.
